This is such a random blog, but for some reason I feel like I have to write it. This might be the fangirl talking and my greed to let the world know about Super Junior and give people a reason to listen to them, but I think this is my inner-romantic side trying to escape.
For those who are unfamiliar with K-Pop, this is a song called 너 같은 사람 또 없어 or in English "No Other" by a 13-member boy group, Super Junior or SuJu for short. You can look up the lyrics to the song, but for this blog it is irrelevant. Rather the focus is more on the actions that each SuJu member does in the video because, gentlemen, you can learn A LOT from these guys. And it's not really the specific actions that's important, but the overall meaning of what those actions say. Here are my 9 things that guys can learn from SuJu from this music video (in order of appearance):
1. Do cute, little nothings for me, 'cause I really like that. Siwon demonstrates this by carrying the umbrella for his girl and bending down to tie her shoelaces. It shows that you're paying attention to me and that you care.
2. Propose to me in a creative and cute way! Yesung shows that this can be done in an inexpensive, but totally romantic way. Whether it be some balloons and random kids or a proposal written on the beach, use your creativity because this is a moment I'll be talking about a lot and will remember forever!
3. Show me your manliness. Wash my car as Ryeowook did, mow my lawn, or replace the light bulbs I can't reach; something simple but it'll give me a chance to see you as a man, MY MAN. :D
4. Give me flowers! Donghae loves the magic trick with the rose lately, but no need for magic tricks; just a flower on a random day when I don't expect it will make me super happy. And a single stem flower can mean more to me than a fancy two-dozen bouquet.
5. Make your Love for me known to the public once in a while. Make a mural of hearts like Kyuhyun did, or you can shout out in public that you love me heheheh. I know it'll take courage and effort, but it'll be a big gesture to let me know that you are proud that I'm your girl and will erase any doubt that you're mine.
6. Put in an effort for a big surprise project/event.Leeteuk went around taking pictures of anything that had hearts on it no doubt to put together a surprise, a book, a movie, a picture show. Little things can be put together for something great, preferably for my birthday or our anniversary. It'll make me feel special and show me that you remember important dates. <3
7. Write me letters. Heechul wrote it on a card, but a simple paper or even a napkin from a place we've had a date can be romantic. A letter is also an easier way for you to express how you feel, and gives me proof of your feelings because I'll be keeping that forever. hahaha. So don't write things you don't mean, 'cause your words will be thrown back at you! hahah And believe me I will quote you on that!
8. Show me your talents! There's no need to go to extremes and take your shirt off and dance like Eunhyuk, (though I wouldn't hate that ;p heheh) but show me what you're good at, something you take pride in. It will allow me to get to know you better (what your likes and passions are) as well as show me you have your own interests.
9. Siiiiiiiiiiiing for me!!!! I don't care if your voice isn't as angelic as Sungmin's just sing to me~~~~! It will seriously make me melt, especially if you sing me my favorite song. Don't hesitate, JUST DO IT !! And yes, noraebang/karaoke can count ;)
Well gentlemen, I hope you've been taking notes because I don't know any girl who wouldn't want these things done for her. The ladies can also show this to your man, if you wanna give him a hint. kekekek
Well, that's all folks. Byeee~~~f
(Since when did I turn into a love guru?! hahahhahah) HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOYED IT !!!
ps. i got $120 worth of bigbang mercandise for 68,000 won. which is about $60.. yeaaaah nigga! what! hahah that's why i waited til i got here to buy it. hehe more later, promise!

Tabi and Franceska watched and talked and laughed all afternoon forgetting the real reason why Franceska was there in the first place. Trina came home around 5:30, but when she saw how much fun Tabi seemed to be having with Franceska, she quietly sneaked to her room and gave them some privacy.
A few minutes after Trina got to her room she received a text message.
GD to Trina:
Hey Treens, are you busy ? Can I call you?
-Oppa
Trina was so excited that she jumped unto her bed and screamed in her pillow. Once she caught her breath, she waited a few more minutes, so that GD won't think she was too eager, before she replied.
Trina to GD:
Sure, oppa. I'm free right now.
Two seconds later, her phone rang and her heart started beating fast.
[AUTHOR'S NOTE: Some of the dialogue here might sound familiar, it's from Jiyongie's Fun Fun Radio Girlfriend call]
"Hello?" Trina said as calm as possible.
"Hello? Trina. It's me."
"JiYongie?" Trina asked.
"Yepp," GD said sounding excited. "What are you up to?"
"Nothing, just got home, was supposed to start my music project with Franceska," Trina told him.
"But...?" GD asked.
"Tabi oppa was home and Franceska got here before me. So I guess Tabi oppa answered the door. By the time I got here they were watching My Girl."
"Oooo... I like that one!" GD said with enthusiasm.
"You watch K.drama too?!" Trina was absolutely shocked.
"Not Big Bad Rapper GD!" she thought to herself.
"Yeah, I watch it. Where do you think Tabi and I get some of our ideas for songs from? I've only been in one relationship, and we both know your bro has never been in one." GD explained.
Trina has never thought of that before.
"You always surprise me, oppa, but in a good way." Trina giggled.
"Really? Aish! You're making oppa feel embarrassed," GD blushed.
"So how are they getting along?" GD asked.
Great! When I came, they were laughing and making jokes. That's why I didn't interrupt them. I've never seen oppa so comfortable and happy around a girl before."
"Good, I'm glad," GD said.
"Wow! You're such a good friend, you sound so happy for oppa."
"Who said I was happy for Tabi?" GD said jokingly.
"You just did, you said you were glad."
"Oh.. haha I said it wrong then. I meant I'm glad you didn't interrupt them."
"Why not?" Trina was so confused.
"Because now you can stay on the phone with me." GD said sounding like he was smiling from ear to ear.
Trina's heart melted, and butterflies started fluttering in her stomach.
Meanwhile, outside in the living room, Tabi and Franceska were getting to know each other. They were mainly talking about surface matters, discussing their favorite food, favorite Korean show, favorite sneaker brand. They talked about BB and how they became so popular, and about Tabi being really popular at school.
"So what do you think about it all?" Franceska asked.
"About what?"
"Being so popular, having girls get jealous when you have to rescue the clumsy new girl who bumps into a jerk." Franceska said jokingly.
"Girls were jealous? Man, I guess I am pretty cool!" Tabi joked back.
"Hey, watch yourself. I'm still getting to know you. Don't ruin your good standing with me by being cocky," Franceska lightly hit Tabi's shoulder. The touch sent shockwaves to Tabi's heart, and Franceska's too.
"Haha. Sorry, I just don't know how to talk about that stuff. It's just silly to me," Tabi said truthfully.
"So you never considered dating any of those girls?" Franceska asked boldly really curious about his answer.
"Nope!" Tabi was proud.
"Oh, I get it! You're a player then huh?" Franceska joked again.
"Would you believe me if I told you I've never had a girlfriend or dated... Ever?!" Tabi for some reason wanted to explain to Franceska why.
"A big bad power rapper like you, never had a girlfriend before? Franceska was really surprised.
"Never even been on a date." Tabi confessed.
"Why is that? If you don't mind me asking"
"Actually I wanted to you ask," Tabi said to himself.
"Nope, I don't mind at all, but you might think it's silly."
"Try me!" Franceska said as she turned her body to face Tabi on the couch, folded her legs Indian style, put the throw pillow on her lap, and got comfortable ready to listen to his explanation.
"Okay," Tabi began, "well, ever since I was about 12 years old or so. I've had this recurring dream."
"What's it about?" Franceska was really curious.
"Don't laugh, promise?"
"Cross my heart," Franceska did the motion as she promised.
"I warned you. But I've had this dream ever since someone special to me left me. It was about 5 years ago. Anyway, I dream that there's a prince that comes to a castle, and tries to save the princess by taking her away. The thing is I'm not the prince, in fact, I'm not even in my dream. All I know is that I always want to fight for her to stay, but I never do." Tabi paused giving Franceska a chance to ask questions.
"Does the princess always get taken away? Or does she ever choose to stay? Is she forced to leave by the prince?"
"She was only taken away one time, but not by the prince, something else, that I can't remember. Usually the prince tries to talk her into leaving, but she doesn't want to leave and then I wake up," This was the first time Tabi realized this.
"The princess was only taken away once, the rest were failed attempts," Tabi suddenly thought and became happy.
"Maybe the prince is not there to save her. Maybe, she's already at a place where she's happy. Maybe the prince is just another obstacle of life." Franceska said insightfully.
"You might be right," Tabi admitted, "but either way, because of these dreams I've held on to the idea that I will find my princess and only then will I fall in love. I made a promise with myself that I won't be like my dreams. I'll do my best to fight for her." Tabi finished his explanation.
"I told you it was lame."
"No, not lame at all, kinda ironic actually," Franceska said.
"Why is that?" Tabi wanted to know.
"Because, I have had a very similar dream, I just remembered from hearing your story."
"What's yours about?" Tabi asked.
"That I'm on top of a castle surrounded by dragons and giants, but in the castle I feel safe, and I don't want to leave," Franceska said.
"Really? That's so crazy!" Tabi surprised and relieved, and happy.
"Maybe that's why his eyes look so familiar," Franceska thought, "we must've met in a dream, but how weird!"
"Could she be the princess from my dreams?" Tabi wondered, "nah, can't be. That'd be too ironic. So then why does she seem so familiar?" Tabi became more curious.
Just then they heard someone's voice.
"No, I haven't eaten. I'm in the kitchen now looking for food," Trina said still on the phone with GD, 3 hours later.
"Oh my gosh! What time is it?" Franceska asked.
"It's almost 9pm," Tabi said.
"TRINA!" they both realized.
Tabi and Franceska ran to the kitchen.
"I'm so sorry, Trina! I didn't realized what time it was," Franceska felt awful.
"What time did you get here?" Tabi asked.
"Hold on," Trina told the two standing in front of her.
"Oppa, I gotta go, they finally realized I'm home." Trina said sarcastically, "I'll try to call you back if not I'll see you tomorrow," Trina said on the phone giggling..
"No problem, uhm.. Can I pick you up in the morning?" GD asked.
"Yea, I'd like that," Trina giggled.
"Why do you keep giggling? You know I melt when you giggle," GD said.
Trina's heart skipped 5 beats, she thought she died. "Aww..what to do? He's so cute!" she said to herself.
"Aww.. oppa! I'll see you tomorrow morning. Goodnite."
"Goodnite. Sleep well," GD said before they both hung up.
Trina didn't realize that two people were staring at her the whole time. Franceska was smiling at her, but Tabi's eyes looked like they were going to fall out of their sockets.
"YAH! Who was that?! I've never heard you talk on the phone like that ! Who are you calling oppa?!" Tabi's overprotective, irrational older brother side kicked in.
"Oppa~ you care about me!" Trina smiled. She walked around the island and gave Tabi a hug. "But relax, will you?" she said looking up at him. "That was Jiyongie oppa!"
"Oh.." Tabi felt dumb. "Since when did you talk to him on the phone anyway?"
"Since today! But we've been texting each other a lot in the past month. It's a natural progression," Trina said matter of factly.
"Let's eat, I'm starving! Time flew by without me noticing," Tabi said, setting himself up for jokes.
"I wonder why?" Trina nudged him and gave Franceska a wink.
Franceska blushed and looked down at the chair by the island, and smiled.
"We were just talking," Franceska said.
Tabi looked at her and saw her blushing even though her face was turned down.
"She so beautiful when she looks innocent like right now," Tabi's breath was taken away, which made him smile to himself.
"It's getting late, I should go," Franceska broke the silence.
"Just stay..." Tabi spoke too quickly, "...for dinner, I meant. Just stay for dinner." he saved himself.
"Yeah, Che, Just stay for dinner," Trina mocked her brother.
He gave her the death stare.
The three prepared their food and ate.
"Thanks for dinner, guys," Franceska said when they walked her to the door."
"Sorry about tonight, Trina," Franceska apologized again.
"It's not your fault, I did it on purpose, I saw you were having a good time. Anyway, call me when you get home so I can explain!" Trina hugged Franceska goodbye, "and you can tell me all bout you and my brother," she said before letting go.
Franceska just smiled at her and nodded.
"Here, umm.. let me walk you to your car." Tabi offered.
"I had a lot of fun talking," Tabi confessed.
"Yea me, too." Franceska became shy again.
"Feel free to stop by even when Trina's not home. Tabi said before he can stop himself.
Franceska paused for a moment. Then remembered that she made a promise to herself not to let another chance to spend time to get to know Tabi pass by again.
"Sure I'd like that," Franceska built the courage to say.
The two exchanged numbers and then Franceska drove off.
By the time YB got to Franceska, it was too late.
SeungRi was already on the ground pinned under Tabi who was punching SeungRi's face continously. Franceska was being hugged by Trina, and GD came over to pull Tabi off SeungRi. YB helped GD and were finally able to calm Tabi down to the point where he can walk away. GD followed him.
YB bent down to SeungRi's face.
"Strike 2, nigga. One more and see what happens," YB threatened him.
"Let's go home," YB said to Trina and Franceska.
"Go on ahead, I'll go home with my oppa." Trina Told them.
"Tell Tabi I said thanks," Franceska managed to say.
"I will," Trina told her as she hugged Franceska goodbye.
Trina called GD's phone to ask where they were.
"We're in the alley way. He's fine, just needed fresh air to calm down." Tabi heard GD say over the phone.
"Your sister is grabbing our stuff and is coming here. YB and Franceska already went home." GD informed Tabi.
He just nodded.
After Trina got there, the three walked to the parking deck.
"Are you okay, oppa?" Trina asked when they got in the car.
"Yeah. I'm fine." Tabi assured her.
"I've never seen you so angry before," GD chimed in turning away from the road and looking at Tabi in the passenger seat.
"Yeah, me neither, oppa! Now I know why SeungRi's dad is a psychiatrist, he has a psycho for a son," Trina said with anger now coming out of her voice.
"I must say , I'm kinda jealous. I always wanted to rescue a damsel in distress," GD said.
"You were pretty cool, oppa. You were like a real life knight in shining armor," Trina got excited.
"Oh be quiet, you two!" Tabi said trying to sleep. Even he didn't know what made him react that way, but seeing SeungRi pinning Franceska against the wall made his blood boil. And worse was seeing the pain and tears on her face; that was what sent him over the edge.
He didn't understand why he felt so protective over Franceska, but he can't help it. Slowly, he really fell asleep.
Tabi started dreaming about his princess, and once again, a prince came to try to take her away. He was awoken when GD's Range Rover stopped in front of their house.
"Oppa, we're home," he heard Trina say.
Tabi got out of the car.
Before he closed the door, GD said, "tomorrow, at 4pm, I'll pick you up."
"4?! What are we doing?" Tabi was confused.
"The audition, man. It's at 5 at the club." GD reminded him.
"Oh, my b, yo. It slipped my mind for a sec."
Trina was about to step out of the car when GD said, "Wait, don't move!"
GD got out of the car and walked around to open the door for Trina. He held out his hand and helped her step out.
"Thanks, oppa," Trina shyly said to him.
"Let me walk you to the door," GD offered.
"Sure... Go ahead. Pretend I'm not here!" Tabi said before he walked ahead of them not wanting to see the cheesy moment that's about to occur.
"Night, Tabi" GD called from the outside stairs before Tabi was completely out of sight.
"I guess I better go in too, " Trina said.
"Oh, right. It's pretty late." GD felt the awkwardness.
"I'll see you tomorrow then?" Trina asked.
"Of course, of course."
"Okay, well, goodnite, oppa." Trina gave GD a small wave and went inside her house.
GD waved and smiled like an idiot, and slowly walked back to his car with his head down.
"I never get nervous around girls!!!" he thought, "especially not ones who are younger than me who I've known for 5 years!!!"
"Oh, GD," he continued to talk to himself, "you're losing your game!" were his final thoughts as he drove home.
The rest of the weekend went by like a whirlwind. There were about 100 guys and girls who auditioned for the vocalist position. Most were decent, a handful were awful, but only a few stood out. Before they went home on Saturday, Tabi and GD narrowed it down to 5 people.
It was now Sunday afternoon, and Tabi and GD have made their final decision. GD got the job of calling the other 4 candidates to tell them they found someone else. Tabi was assigned to call the person they chose.
"Hello?"
"Hey. Franceska?" Tabi asked.
"This is her. Who's this?"
"It's uhm.. Tabi," he suddenly became nervous.
"Oh hey, what's up?" Franceska said not seeming shy at all.
"Nothing really, I actually meant to call YB."
"You have the right number. This is his phone, he was just in the shower and left it on the couch so I answered it."
"I want to thank you for what you did Friday night," Franceska blurted out.
Tabi was caught off guard as that whole incident slipped his mind, "I was just closer to you than YB, that's all. YB was ready to beat that guy up." Tabi slapped himself in the head as soon as the words left his mouth, for it was the lamest answer he's ever heard in his life!
"I see..." Franceska sounded disappointed.
"Listen, I'll just call back them," Tabi said feeling the awkwardness.
"No need. I hear him, hold on."
"Oppa~! Your cellphone!" Tabi heard Franceska yell.
"Who is it?" YB asked.
"It's Tabi oppa," Franceska said without realizing she just called Tabi her oppa.
"So you're close enough that you call him oppa now, huh?" YB teased his sister.
Franceska blushed and ran to her room embarrassed.
Tabi heard the whole conversation and blushed as well. He didn't even know why. He just knew that his heart was now smiling.
"Hello?" YB finally got to his phone that his sister threw on the couch.
"Hey, YB," Tabi greeted him making sure his voice didn't give away how happy he was over what he just heard.
"Sorry I took so long. What can I do for you?" YB asked.
"It's cool, I was just calling to let you know GD and I would like for you to join "Bad Boys or BB" for short."
"What's BB?" YB asked.
"That's our group name, we just decided it," Tabi let him know.
"You forreals?" YB asked in shock.
"Forreal Forreals! We think your voice would really mesh well with my power raps and GD's smooth raps. We like your soulful, R&Bish sound." Tabi continued.
"Tha't s freakin' awesome! Thanks, man!" YB was no longer able to hold his excitement.
"We'll see you for practice this week then, we'll call you." Tabi told him.
"Cool. If anything, I'll see you guys at school tomorrow." YB said goodbye.
"Aight." Tabi hung up.
YB hung up too and ran to his sister's room.
"Franceska! Guess what!!!!" he banged on her door.
"Calm down, I'm coming. What's up?"
"I'm the newest member of BB!!" he said excitedly.
"What the heck is BB?"
"Bad Boys! Tabi and GD's group!" YB explained.
Franceska blushed again at the sound of Tabi's name. She seriously needed to get a handle on herself.
"You actually auditioned?" Franceska was surprised.
"I told you I would if you didn't. Missed your chance, lil sis."
Now that she thought about it, she would've loved the chance to have gotten to spend a lot of time with Tabi. After how nice he's been to her, she was really curious to know him more personally.
"Dangit, Franceska! Be more brave! Don't let another chance with Tabi pass by like this ever again!" she made a promise with herself.
Monday came again, and one month after that weekend had passed already. The students were already getting bored with school, but Mr. Kang seemed to have the cure.
"Okay, class, settle down." he told his students.
"We're going to mix it up today," he started.
"I know you think my class is all fun and no work, so we're going to add some work."
"Noooo..." his class groaned as expected.
Mr. Kang laughed, "it's still going to be fun! Some of you might really like this actually." he was building up anticipation.
"What I want from you this semester is for you to pretend as if you are a singer preparing to make your debut. That means coming up with an image, a style of music, and most importantly write a song and perform it at the winter music festival." Mr. Kang explained.
"Can we form groups?" one boy asked.
"Sure. You can debut as a solo act or as a group. But please no SNSD and Super Juniors numbers," Mr. Kang joked.
Students who didn't listen to K-Pop had no idea what he was talking about.
"He meant dont make youre groups too big. SNSD has 9 girls in their group, and Super Juniors has 13." one of the girls clarified.
"Exactly," Mr. Kang said, "up to 4 is fine, but please try to not go over that.
[AUTHOR'S NOTE: TOTALLY NOT BASHING ON SNSD OR SUPER JUNIORS, JUST AN ANALOGY!!! ^^]
"You will be graded on your song and your performance. You may all get up and start working on it now, but note, this is the only class time you will have to work on it, the rest of the project must be done outside of class. I should also mention that my most successful example of this project is Tabi and GD." Mr. Kang told his class.
With that motivation the students began planning.
Trina turned and looked at Franceska.
"Please be my partner, " Franceska mouthed. The thought of having to perform in public is already making her nervous. Trina got up and said, "Of course!"
Trina and Franceska spent the whole period not getting anything done.
"Come to my house after school, maybe we can get real work done. I should be home from dance practice before 5pm, so come then." Trina told Franceska.
"Just text me your address, " Franceska said as the two girls went their separate ways.
At 5pm Franceska drove to Trina's house. She rang the buzzer and the gate opened. She parked in the long driveway and rang the doorbell.
Franceska was taken aback when Tabi answered the door.
"Hi, is Trina here?" she asked.
"No she's not home yet. She just texted me saying she's on her way home, but I didn't know she was expecting company. Come on in." Tabi said shyly all of a sudden.
Tabi lead her to the family room where he forgot he was watching My Girl, the Korean drama. When he realized it, his eyes widened and quickly tried to turn the TV off, but it was too late.
"Are you watching My Girl?" Franceska asked.
"Uhmm... Trina left it on, I just came across it." Tabi lied.
"It's okay, Trina already told me about your love for Korean drama." Franceska smirked.
"Aish! My sister has a big mouth!" Tabi said feeling embarrased for some reason. He wanted to impress Franceska and for once take advantage of his bad boy image from school.
"She only told me because she caught me crying over a movie," Franceska said as she blushed and looked down on the floor.
"Would you like to watch then, while you wait for Trina?" Tabi suggested.
"My Girl is my FAVORITE!" she replied.
"Mine too," Tabi said.
YB, Trina, and Franceska headed to the city, but decided to go to dinner first since GD and Tabi didn't go on until 11pm.
"Oppa~" Trina said over the phone.
"Hey, Treens, are you here?" Tabi asked.
"Nope, not yet. We're in the city already, but we're gonna grab dinner first. You and GD oppa want anything?"
"Hey, Ji, Trina wants to know if you want anything from the diner." Trina heard Tabi shout over the phone.
"Whatever she's having is fine," she heard GD say this time.
"Gosh, even over the phone his voice makes me melt," Trina said as she automatically placed her free hand over her heart to keep it from falling.
"You got that?" Trina heard Tabi say.
"Sorry, got what?" she asked, confused.
"Stay with me here! I'll have a burger with disco fries, and GD said he'll have whatever you're having." Tabi repeated.
"Coming right up," Trina said, "I'll call you when we get there."
"Okay see you in a bit." Tabi hung up.
"Sorry about that," Trina apologized to YB and Franceska.
"It's fine," YB said.
"You and your brother seem really close," Franceska said turning around from the passenger seat.
"We are! He gets on my nerves sometimes, but I really do love him. He's my best friend!" Trina said proudly.
"That's cute!" Franceska said, feeling 100% comfortable around Trina.
"You and YB seem close too!" Trina returned the compliment
"We'd have to be..." Franceska paused, "...we only have each other."
YB turned to Franceska giving her a look of sympathy.
"Sorry to hear that," Trina said.
"It's LIFE," Franceska said with a smile on her face trying to disguise her tears.
Trina saw YB pat his sister's hand for comfort. At that moment, Trina realized that Franceska was a lot stronger than her shy demeanor made her appear. "She's a fighter," Trina thought, "she reminds me of my oppa," she realized.
"We're here!" YB said trying to brighten up the mood again.
"Perfect! I'm starving," Franceska said more cheerfully and animated than Trina had ever seen her.
"Me too!" Trina finally chimed in.
They stayed at the diner for a while, until they realized that it was already 10:20.
"Thank goodness we picked a place close enough so we can walk to the club," Franceska said.
"Let me tell oppa to meet us so we don't have to wait in line," Trina suggested.
Trina's text to Tabi:
Oppa, 2 minutes away from the club. LET US IN!!! ;b
Tabi to Trina:
Okay. How many of you so I can tell the bouncer.
Trina to Tabi:
There's 3 of us. YB, Franceska, and me.
Tabi to Trina:
Got it. HAH, I see you... WOW
Tabi sent the last part of the text by accident. His fingers expressed what his mind was thinking when he saw Franceska. He thought she was cute when he first saw her. There was something familiar about her, but he can't put his finger on it. However, the Franceska that's walking towards him took his breath away. No girl has ever had an impact on him like this before.
"Tabi, What's wrong with you?" He asked himself.
"Oppa~!" Trina shouted halfway down the block, which brought Tabi back to reality.
"Hey, lil sis," Tabi greeted.
"Hi... I'm Tabi" He stuck his hand out to YB.
"Sup, man? YB. And my sister, Che. I mean Franceska." YB took Tabi's handshake.
Tabi released YB's hand and extended it to Franceska.
As soon as their skins touched, Tabi felt shivers in his heart, again a feeling of comforting familiarity enveloped him.
"I'm going to have to watch myself around this girl," he thought.
When Franceska released Tabi's hand, they briefly met eyes. Franceska immediately looked down at the street trying to avoid falling for a spell Tabi's eye might put her under; they're that mesmerizing.
"Let's go inside!" Trina said excitedly, breaking the moment.
The four of them headed inside. Once they were out of earshot, Trina grabbed Tabi.
"You can wipe the drool off your face now, she's not watching. She's very pretty, huh?"
"YAH! You need to relax, unless you want me to get started with JiYong." Tabi warned.
"Okay! Okay! Uncle! Can't even take a joke," Trina said.
She turned around to make sure she didn't lose Franceska.
"My brother was so drooling when he saw you," Trina told Franceska.
"He was not!" she denied.
"Fine don't believe me," Trina giggled.
Trina stuck her hand out for Franceska to hold onto as she followed Tabi who was making a path through the crowd. YB was behind Franceska making sure she was okay.
They finally made it to the VIP lounge where GD was sitting. His jaw dropped when he saw Trina. GD pretended to yawn to hide his reaction. He's known Tabi for 5 years now, so he always saw Trina kind of like a little sister, though she was only one year younger than them. She was always his dongsaeng, but at this moment he realized how much she's grown up, she was no longer a baby, and he wanted to make her his.
"Trina, you look fantastic," GD complimented her.
"Now you notice..." Trina said in her head.
"Thanks, oppa~" Trina blushed when she said the words.
"Dangit! How come I always blush when it come to JiYong oppa?" she asked herself.
"Ah! We'll eat later they're calling us to get ready now," GD said.
"Enjoy the show guys," Tabi told Trina, Franceska and YB, but his eyes lingered a little bit longer on Franceska.
When the duo left, Trina leaned into Franceska's ear.
"Told you!" she said teasingly about Tabi.
"Told me what?" Franceska played innocent.
"You know you know!" ;b Trina winked at her.
"Come on , Let's get a good spot," YB said interrupting the inside joke he was not a part of.
When GD and Tabi were introduced, the crowd went crazy.
"Wow! I didn't realize how popular they are," Franceska told YB.
YB nodded, he was so into the song and his groove he was barely paying attention to anything else.
After GD and Tabi's 2nd song, Franceska felt someone tap her shoulder.
"Hey, Pretty girl," someone whispered in her ear.
She turned around and saw the last person she wanted to see.
"I hardly recognized you, you look extra pretty today," Seungri said.
"Get away from her, you creeper!" Trina shoved Seungri away from Franceska.
"Feisty! you look real good too, babygirl," Seungri sounded like a creeper.
YB noticed what was going on and quickly got in Seungri's face.
"I told you to leave my sister alone, man," was all YB needed to say to get Seungri to leave.
"Sorry about that, I should've been watching you more closely," YB said.
"It's okay, oppa, guys like him are just annoying like that," Franceska said.
Twenty more minutes up on stage and the guys were finally finished performing. GD and Tabi made their way through the crowd to join Franceska, Trina and YB.
"You guys were great," YB high-fived the boys.
"Thanks," GD said.
"Did you girls like it?" Tabi asked the question directed more towards Franceska.
"Yeah, I loved it. You guys are really good. I didn't know you guys sang too." Franceska said not feeling a bit shy in this group even though she had just met them.
"it's just for the meantime, until we find a vocalist." GD said.
"You should hear her sing, oppa," Trina contributed. "She's perfect!"
"Would you be willing to try out tomorrow?" Tabi asked.
"Uhm.." was all Franceska could say before she was interrupted.
"Take your money" started playing and everyone in the club got hyped.
GD pulled Trina out on the dance floor and YB was pulled by some random girl to dance.
"Yah! Don't let me see you touching my sister inappropriately." Tabi yelled at GD.
Tabi's not much of a dancer and he'd be the first to admit it, but feeling the awkwardness he turned to Franceska.
"Uhm..." Tabi started.
"Would you like to dance?" Franceska asked Tabi. She's surprising herself a lot today with her boldness. Since when was she not shy?
"I, uh, actually don't have much rhythm," Tabi admitted.
"Who says we have to follow the rhythm of the song?" Franceska said, "we'll dance to our own beat."
Franceska then turned her body towards Tabi and wrapped her hands around his neck. Tabi's heart started to beat really fast, and then slowed down.
"We can dance to the beat of my heart," he thought, too corny for it to be said out loud. He then placed his hands on her waist. and they swayed slowly, then quickly, matching the beat that they felt.
When the song was over, Franceska felt a tap on her shoulder and someone whispered, "girl, sorry to ruin your moment, but, come with me to the bathroom, pleaseeeeee?"
Franceska let go of Tabi and grabbed on to Trina's hand.
"Trina needs to go to the bathroom," Franceska leaned in to Tabi's ear and explained.
"Oh okay," Tabi took his hands off Franceska hesitantly.
"Sorry oppa!" Trina mouthed.
Tabi just looked at her with a "You're a C-Block!" expression.
GD came over to Tabi.
"You're sister's really cool, man. I never realized how much she's grown up," he said.
Tabi looked at him.
"Don't look at me like that, I'm just sayin'" GD defended himself.
"Look, man, you've been my best friend for 5 years now. I k now you better than anyone. If there's a guy I'd approve of for my sister, it's you. Tabi said letting GD off the hook.
Serious? You're not playin?" GD was taken by surprise.
"Trust!" was all Tabi said.
"Thanks, dude!" GD said grinning from ear to ear.
The bathroom had a line formed outside of it by the time the girls got there.
"I'll stay out here, and wait for you," Franceska said.
"Are you sure?"
"Yea, I don't want to make it more crowded in there than it needs to be."
A few minutes later when Trina was out of sight, Seungri appeared once again.
"Hey, pretty girl, you're all alone, huh? No one to defend you?" Seungri said with the smell of alcohol reaching Franceska's face.
Franceska stuck her hand out to push him away.
"Pretty girl, no need to play hard to get. I know you like me. Come on, let's dance," Seungri said as he grabbed her hand attempting to pull her out on the dance floor.
Franceska pulled her hand back with all her might that it threw her against the post.
"So that's how you want to play," Seungri smirked.
He came towards Franceska and pressed his body against hers pinning her to the wall and attempted to kiss her.
"I always get what I want," he whispered to her ear.
Franceska was near tears as she yelled, "Oppa!" pleading for help.
YB turned toward her direction. He knew his sister's voice anywhere. He saw what was happening and flew to her, rage surging through his veins.
Later that week, Trina and Tabi were home watching TV when all of a sudden, Trina became very excited.
"OMG! I totally forgot to mention this earlier," she started.
"Remember that girl you helped out on Tuesday?" Trina asked Tabi.
"Kinda, hardly though, what about her?" Tabi asked.
"After school today, I saw her going into the choir room with Mr. Kang, and you know me gotta know everything, I followed them. I stood by the door, and listened to what they were talking about." Trina tried to build suspense.
"Is this something I really have to hear, Trina, seriously."
"Just wait. Okay so he started playing the piano and Franceska, that's her name by the way she's in my choir class, started to sing, and OH MY GOSH! I thought my heart was going to melt. No homo. But she is soooooo good, oppa! You have to hear her, she's exactly who you need for your song." Trina finished.
"Great. Get her to come to the audition then." Tabi said nonchalantly.
"Oppa, I'm telling you, she's perfect! I'll ask her to go tomorrow."
The next day, Trina sat next to Franceska during choir.
"Hi, I'm Trina."
"Hi... I'm Franceska" she said quietly.
"Is it okay if I sit next to you?" Trina asked.
"Yeah. Sure." Franceska smiled at her.
"I heard, you singing yesterday."
Franceska had a surprised look on her face. "What? Where? When?"
"After school, I was just passing by and I heard your voice it's great!" Trina explained.
"Thanks." Franceska said shyly.
"My brother needs a singer for his group, you should come tomorrow to the auditions." Trina informed her.
Just then Mr. Kang walks into the class.
"Everyone, please go to your sections now, we're about to start warm ups." He instructed.
"I'll look for you at lunch so we can talk," Trina whispered to Franceska before she walked back to where the altos were.
Franceska did not have a chance to say anything so she had no choice but to sit with Trina, she can't say no once they're already at lunch.
Mr. Kang tapped his hand against the piano to get everyone's attention and began the morning warm ups.
At lunch Franceska sat with YB as she has been doing all week.
"Oppa, a girl is going to sit with us today, is that alright?" Franceska asked.
"YOU made a FRIEND? It's a miracle!" YB said jokingly.
"Don't tease, oppa. She heard me singing yesterday for Mr. Kang and now she wants me to try out for her brother's group."
"Awesome! I told you you should!
"I don't think I will. I'm just not ready for it yet" Franceska honestly said.
"It's up to you, Che, but I think you should at least give it a try, if you don't then I will."
"Hey there!" Trina said as she flopped her tray down on the table interrupting the siblings' conversation.
"Oh sorry, did I come here at a bad time?"
"You're fine." Franceska told her.
"Hi, I'm Trina," she stuck her hand out towards YB.
"Hey, YoungBae, but just call me YB, it's easier."
"Are you two...?" Trina was being nosy already.
"Are we... me and her? HAH!" YB started laughing hysterically.
"He's my brother," Franceska clarified before her brother chokes on his own spit.
"haha okay, just wondering."
"So how'd you two meet?" YB asked Trina.
"We're in the same period of Mr. Kang's choir class." Trina said.
"Cool. Cool. So you sing too?" YB continued his questions.
"A little bit, my brother got more of the musical talent, and I'm certainly not as good as Franceska."
Franceska became shy and looked down at her food. She doesn't like being complimented on her singing, she feels like she doesn't deserve it.
"Speaking of my brother, would you want to come with me to their show tonight? They're performing at a club in the City. You can check out how they sound and see if you wanna audition tomorrow." Trina suggested.
"Uhmm. I don't know. " Franceska said, still looking down at her food.
"Come on, just come! It'll be fun, I promise I won't leave your side, and your brother can come too?" Trina directed the question at YB.
"Yeah, sure I'll go, I wanna check them out." YB agreed.
"Perfect. You have no reason not to go now. What's your number? Just in case you have any questions."
Franceska dictated her number.
"It's calling. You got it?" Trina made sure.
"Yeah. Got it." Franceska told her.
"I'll see you tonight." Trina smiled as she got up and left to go to her next class.
"WoooHoo! Lil sis chillen with her oppa tonight! hahah." YB joked with her.
"Yeah Yeah Yeah. Be glad!" Trina said, not amused.
At around 4pm while Franceska was at home rummaging through her closet for something that might actually pass for a decent outfit for tonight, her phone started to vibrate.
Trina's text to Franceska:
Hey, wanna get ready and head to the club together?
Franceska paused for a second.
"Hmm... Oh what the heck. take your chances, Che," she told herself.
Franceska's text to Trina:
Yeah, sure. You want to just come over so that my oppa can give us a ride?
Within seconds there was a reply.
Trina's text to Franceska:
Definitely! Be there in 30 minutes. Just text me your address. See you in a bit ^^
Within 30 minutes Trina was knocking on their door with about 10 shopping bags filled with items.
YB answered the door.
"Hey. What's all this?" he asked with a stunned look on his face.
"Franceska and I are going to get ready for the show tonight"
"From what I gather, that only requires one outfit. You can live here for a month and not repeat clothes with all the outfits you've got there." YB made fun of her.
"A girl's gotta have choices. Can I please come in?"
"Oh sorry, yeah come on in. Che's room is the first room at the top of the stairs." YB instructed her.
Franceska was getting really frustrated. "How can I not have a single decent outfit? Gah! My wardrobe is so boring. T-shirts, skinny jeans, hoodies, cardigans, flats, nike high tops, and even more T-shirts. As she was dumping all the contents of her closet onto her bed, she heard a knock.
"Come in," she said as she sat on her bed and put her palms to her face.
"Oppa, I have nothing to wear!" she almost shouted.
"PERFECT! I think I have the solution." Trina said excitedly, lifting the bags to show Franceska.
Franceska was surprised. She thought it was YB who knocked, but once she saw Trina with all these clothes she got really excited. She rushed to the door and helped Trina put the bags down.
"Oh gosh, you're my life saver!" Franceska said gratefully.
"Nope. That's my oppa remember?" Trina joked.
Franceska blushed and looked down at the bags suddenly remembering the moment that she and Trina's brother met eyes. It was like in the fairy tales when the prince would scoop the princess and stare her in the eyes just before they kiss. Franceska started day dreaming.
"Franceska, are you alright?" Trina waved her hand in front of Franceska's face.
"I'm fine. Sorry."
"Thinking about my brother?" Trina teased her.
"What? No. I was just... uhm, something came to mind." Franceska said nervously exposing her lie.
"I was just joking," Trina laughed, "but you were, weren't you? You have a crush on my oppa?"
"No.. I can't... I only saw him one time, I've never really, actually met him yet. So I can't have a crush on him." Franceska clarified.
"Okay. I believe you." Trina winked at Franceska.
"I just think he's really nice for helping me even when he doesn't know me. And..." Trina paused.
"And...what?"
"He's uhmm.. It's just I find him attractive." Franceska said boldly. She can't believe she actually said that out loud. She never told stuff like that to people she had just met, but she feels really comfortable around Trina.
"Haha. Aww, that's cute. I'm sure he finds you really attractive too! Especially after I'm done with you." Trina got up and started to lay all the outfits out on the bed and quickly got to work on Franceska's hair and make up.
Around 9pm YB knocked on Franceska's door.
"You ladies ready?" he asked.
"Just about." Trina shouted. "Don't come in yet, we'll be down in 2 minutes. It'll be a surprise!"
YB headed downstairs and waited by the door.
A few minutes later he saw Trina looking beautiful in a blue blouse with a small black vest over it, black short shorts and heels.
"Hold your breath," she said, "the main attraction is coming."
Just then Franceska walks down the stairs wearing a shimmery red baby doll dress with black tights and pumps. He hair was up with a few strands hanging down in curls, and most important of all, she glowed with this confidence that YB has not seen in her.
"Wow, baby sis, you look beautiful!"
"Thanks, oppa." Franceska blushed and looked down at the stairs.
"Ladies, let's go." YB stuck out his hand escorting them out the door.
The next day at school, there was a commotion at the parking lot.
"Ah! SeungRi oppa! you're back!" One of the fan girls screamed.
SeungRi gave her a wink and made his way inside the school.
SeungRi took two steps and paused as something lovely caught his eyes.
"Hello there, pretty girl, you new at school?" he said flirtatiously.
"Hey, man, can you leave her alone?" YoungBae told him.
"And who are you to stop me, Mr. Bodyguard?"
"I'm her older brother, now beat it!" YB said intimidatingly.
YB is not a guy you'd want to get into a fight with. You can make this decision just by looking at his body. He clearly worked out, and though SeungRi was the captain of the 3 year back to back champion soccer team, he knew when to pick his fights.
"No need to get hostile, I'm going, geez." SeungRi backed away not wanting to mess up his self proclaimed million dollar face.
"Oppa~ Let's just go! This isn't the way I want to start off my school year" Franceska tried to calm her brother.
"Listen, if that guy or any guy messes with you, let me know, got it?"
"I got it. Let's go!"
"What class do you have now, I'll take you there." YB offered.
"I'm going to choir, but I'm sure I can find it myself. I can handle it, oppa. I'm a big girl now." Franceska gave him an assuring smile.
"Alright, but let me know if a guy bothers you. I promised Mom I'll take care of you."
"Ay, Ay, captain." She gave him a salute and walked down the hallway.
"I'll see you at lunch!" YB yelled after her.
Trina turned around and gave him a smile and a wave.
As Franceska turned the corner of the hallway, she crashed into someone really hard that it made her loose her balance. She was about to hit the floor, when she felt a pair of arms catch her.
"Watch where you're going, B-" SeungRi stopped himself when he recognized who ran into him.
"Ohh...hi pretty girl, sorry are you okay?" he fakely said, not even offering to help her up.
"Who's the new girl SeungRi is talking to? UGH! She so did that on purpose!" one fan girl scoffed.
"Are you alright?" Franceska heard as she finally snapped back into reality and realized she was still in someone's arms
"I'm fine! Thanks so much." Franceska blushed as she met eyes with her rescuer.
Tabi then lifted her to her feet and picked up her bag.
"OMG! Tabi is even helping her, I hate her!" Fan girls whispered.
Tabi handed Franceska her bag and walked off.
"She's really cute. I wonder who she is, I've never seen her before. But she looks so familiar," Tabi thought.
Franceska's eyes followed him.
"His eyes! There's something familiar about them," she thought to herself.
"Hey, can I walk you to class?" SeungRi offered shaking the girls' hands off that were clinging on to him.
Franceska was not impressed with his player status and ignored his offer.
"Ooo.. shy and playing hard to get. Just my style!" SeungRi accepted the challenge as he followed Franceska to her choir class.
As soon as Franceska was out of sight SeungRi turned around and put his arm around another girl that was waiting for him.
"Ew! What a player" Trina said. She witnessed everything that just happened.
During lunch, YB found Franceska and ate with her making sure she's protected. SeungRi saw YB sitting with his new target so he sat at another table full of his fan girls.
"So what's this I hear about someone rescuing you?" YB asked Franceska.
"You heard about that already?" Franceska was so surprised and embarrassed.
"Whole school's heard about it. Apparently every girl is jealous of you. From the freshman girls, and the senior girls on my grade. But especially the Junior girls from your year." YB informed his sister.
"Jealous? Why?" Franceska was curious.
"From what I gather, SeungRi, the one you bumped into? Is the captain of the soccer team. They've been state champs since he got here, so all the girls love him. And the guy that caught you, well, he doesn't pay attention to any of the girls here. He's in a rapper duo, and supposedly they're "hot issue" So the fact that you had both guys' attention at the same exact moment, kinda set you on the wrong foot with the girls in this school." YB explained.
"Gee, thanks that makes me feel so much better! I just wanted to get through the year unnoticed!" Franceska said. She's always been the shy girl who tries to avoid eye contact. She needs to feel comfortable with someone before she starts to act like herself.
Trina made her way to GD and Tabi's table.
"Oppa, I loved your knight in shining armor show earlier." Trina joked. "Looks like dreams really do come true!"
"What knight in shining armor?" GD had an amused smile on his face.
"He caught the new girl as she was about to fall to the ground when she bumped into that jerk of guy SeungRi." Trina told him.
"Is that right? Looks like your life just got less boring," GD said. "So what are the dreams?"
"Oppa dreams that he's a prince and he saves princesses." Trina answered.
"I don't dream that I save them." Tabi corrected.
"You do too! I hear you talk in your sleep about princesses all the time."
"Well, I don't save them. Someone else always takes them away." Tabi corrected.
"Geez, man, even in your dreams you don't have game?" GD joked.
GD was well aware of Tabi's mindset that someday he will meet the right girl, and only then will he fall in love. He respected Tabi for his views, but always joked with him about not having game.
"Be quiet and eat your food!" Tabi told him jokingly.
"Oh. before I forget, here are your audition flyers, I'll hand them out to my choir class tomorrow." Trina handed them a flyer each.
"Wow! These look great! Thanks Trina" GD smiled at her.
Trina's heart melted.
"That was fast!" Tabi said, " you must really like the deal I proposed last night."
"What deal?" GD asked them.
"Oh I told her if she did it you will" Tabi began saying before Trina put her hand over his mouth.
::mumbles:: Tabi tried talking through Trina's hand.
"I will what?" GD asked curiously.
"You'll... write a song about Tabi's obsession with korean dramas for your next gig." Trina thought of something quickly to get back at her brother.
"That's all? haha No problem! We'll call it, Knight in Shining Armor (Has No Game)" GD said.
"That's an awful title," Trina laughed at the idea.
"It'll never sell," Tabi was finally able to say after Trina let him go.
"We'll think of something," GD laughed as the three of them got up and posted the flyers all over the school.
GD and Tabi left at the beginning of last period because they both had frees so they can spread the flyers all over town.
"Let's put these flyers on people's windshields." Tabi suggested.
"Good Idea!" GD said.
The two boys quickly went over to each car in the student parking lot and put a flyer on the car.
When school let out, YB waited for Franceska by the car.
"Took you long enough." YB complained.
"Sorry, I met with my choir teacher really quickly."Franceska explained.
"Why after school?"
"He wanted to hear my range, but I was too shy to sing by myself during class, so he let me sing after classes. Mr. Kang is super nice. I think he's my favorite." Franceska said with a smile on her face.
"Do you have a crush on your choir teacher? I hear he's young. Mr. DaeSung Kang." YB teased Franceska.
"No, I don't. I'm just saying he's nice for being understanding. And wait a minute, you've been at this school for as long as I have, how come you know everything about this school already? First the incident this morning, now this." Franceska was curious.
"Just born popular, I guess." YB said with a cheesy smile on his face.
"Ew! Oppa." Franceska rolled her eyes at him.
"What's this?" YB asked as he pulled a piece of paper from under his windshield.
"I don't know what is it?"
"Che, look, it's an audition flyer for your rescuer's group. You should try out." YB teased Franceska.
"Oh, you're so funny~! You know how I get on stage, oppa. I can't do it." Franceska said as her insecurities kicked in again.
"You sure are wasting your talents. You're born to sing, Che, show the world." YB suddenly got very serious. "Mom would love to see you get on stage again. I'm sure she'd be smiling down on you."
"Oh, oppa, I wish I can sing on stage again, too. I just can't..." Franceska said out loud.
"...Mom, I'm sorry." she finished her thought inside her heart.
